How to Apply

Applying to Cuyamaca is done online, and it’s free! Before you can register for classes, you must fill out an application to the college.

Here's what happens next:

• You will receive an email with next steps within minutes of submitting your application. If you do not receive an email, check spam filters before contacting Admissions.
• Applications take between 24-48 hours to process. Log into Self-Service to confirm.
• Have your official transcripts or documents sent to the Transcripts office at Cuyamaca College to clear prerequisites, and to award prior credit for degrees and certificates. Official transcripts and scores must still be in the sealed official envelope if you are submitting them in person.
• If you took AP classes in high school, please have College Board send your test scores to the Transcripts office.

After you apply and receive your acceptance letter, login to Self-Service.

On the Home Page, click "Enrollment Checklist" and follow the steps to complete the New Student Orientation module. 

Self-Service is also the place to go for your Placement. The placement questionnaire will help us assess your current level of English and Math. Login to Self-Service, click "Enrollment Checklist" and follow the steps to complete your English and Math placement.

To plan courses for your first semester, go to Self-Service, and click Orientation, Placement and Advising. Follow all the steps to create a one semester education plan. See the Counseling Center for more information.
